Kyokushin Vs. Muay-Thai Video

Hi, OSU! If anyone is interested in a copy of the historical video of the 1964 encounter betwwen Kyokushin and Thai-Boxing, please leave your email address and I will contact you. I am not charging for the tape, only enough to cover costs and shipping. I take a special pride in this historical accomplishment and like to share it with other Kyokushin people. There seems to be a few here who doubt that these fights even took place. I can assure you, this is no myth and Kyokushin made a good showing of themselves in Thailand, fighting under "full" Muay-Thai rules, against Champion opponents under these disadvantaged conditions. Kyokushin, at that time, showed the world they were the "Strongest Karate", as it was unheard of in Japan to accept a formal challenge from exponents of a foreign matial arts style, especially Thailand's vicious Muay-Thai style. The challenge went out to ALL of Japanese Karate, but Kyokushin was the only style to step up and answer this challenge. This greatly strengthened the prestige of Karate and showed it was indeed a true Kakutougi(Fighting Art). Interested parties, leave email. OSU!

True, but for some strange reason, Nakamura Shihan's fight was not on there.

Is it on your tape, Lonewolf?

Osu! Shihan Tadashi Nakamura's match was not included on my video. My video mainly focused on my Teacher, Shihan Kenji Kurosaki and training in the old "Oyama Dojo" with Sosai Oyama observing. Shihan Kurosaki and Akio Fujihira(Noburu Osawa, as he was known in the kickboxing world) training and sparring with gloves on as far back as that time. There was then an interview with Mr. Osamu Noguchi and Shihan Kurosaki. After these interviews, it shows Fujihira's entire match against the Thai Boxer up to the point of Fujihira's knockout of this champion. If anyone is still interested in obtaining this full length historical video(as opposed to the clips on youtube), just PM me and I can work something out.
Osu!

Osu! In addition to the historical "Kyokushin Vs Muay-Thai" video, I also have a two part series(available on one video tape) avaliable called "Shin Kakuto Jitsu Method: The Technique of Power Kicking I & II" by Kenji Kurosaki and Toshio Fujiwara. Shihan Kurosaki is explaining things and former lightweight Japanese Kickboxing champion Toshio Fujiwara is demonstrating the techniques and unique training methods. They clearly show the method of greatly increasing kicking power, with many fighting techniques used in the ring. This video was produced in the 1980's when Fujiwara had just recently retired from the ring and was still in top condition. It is rare and unavailable even in Japan, a true collector's item. There are many techniques and training methods that would greatly enhance anyone's Kyokushin training.
If anyone is interested in this special video series, please send me a PM.
Osu!
