Migi kake tsuki followed with hidari hiza geri chudan or jodan (The hiza geri can be replcaed with jodan mawasi gerias needed)

or

Migi Gyaku tsuki followed with hidari gedan mawashi to opponents back leg (simple but effective - the gyaku tsuki moves the left hip into an open position to allow for maximum rotation into the gedan mawashi) You can also do this with hidari oi tsuki and migi gedan mawashi.

yeah I have a problem with throwing up combos. It's usually just a barrage of punches and kicks to the legs. I wanted to see what combos and moves people were using in kumite to get an idea of things that work for you all.

Come on guys, help me out! :P

Isn't that a bad thing? a frequent use of the some combo in Kumite is an open invitation to a counter attack?

Well, if you keep using it yes, but everyone has a favorite, "reliable" combo that works or is comfortable to them.

There is always a difference in execution and variation of the same combo as well.

If you just use the same one over and over then yes it is a bad thing. But most fighters would have several combinations and that makes counter attacking difficult.

Osu! Teixera senpai, i guess people call it different in different regions. I'm actually not sure how we call it in new zealand. it's a body blow punch in boxing isn't it?

Osu NZProud,Sensei usually refers to it as a "rip".
Im trying to develop a ushiro kakato geri from in real close, set up with a migi shita tsuki, I've only pulled it off once properly, but I will keep trying!!

Against a left-hand lead fighter, I like a lead gedan mawashi geri to the inner thigh-lead straight-reverse straight-rear gedan mawashi geri to the outer thigh. Simple but it works. Reverse straight-lead straight-rear shita tsuki is a good punching one, and lead gedan mawashi geri to the inner thigh-lead straight-rear hiza geri. Just a couple ideas.
