K4L NorthEast Knockdown Invitational 2012, in NYC
Osu,
The K4L 2nd NorthEast Knockdown Invitational will take place on September 29th 2012
It will be an all day event, open to all karateka and karate organizations.
There will be training and instruction in the morning, and several knockdown & full contact formats in the afternoon (Semi KD, KD, Irikumi Ju & Go, maybe clicker, etc...)
Dojos will be welcomed to do demonstrations of kata, self defense, bunkai, or other...
Many karate organizations and styles will be represented.
This event will be an even larger success than the 2011 first K4L NEKD invitational & I am already looking forward to meet many of you there.
Upon request, additional training in small groups can be organized at Sensei Dent's or other dojo in the area on the Sunday.
Link to this event in the K4L calendar
OSu
Fred

Osu,
Wishing the event well - we can have a South African version too ... perhaps between Mas and I and some of the other non to active South African K4Lifers we can do something ...

A nice blurb that I can add in the brochure telling people about K4L. Thanks for the support.

Kyokushin4life is a global boundary-less community opened to all; over the years, it has become the reference for all things related to full contact karate, karate in general, and much more.
It is a source of information, inspiration, education, the receptacle of immense knowledge; its active members offer support and guidance that is not available anywhere else.
It is also a means to meet great karatekas worldwide, and train with them - this I can attest with first hand personal experience.
Done!

With this much notice I'll have more time to develop my sales pitch to Mrs Sandman - here's hoping!

Thank you too Sandman - yep, that is cool! Might just do a bit of tweaking - something like ...

PS. Does having an K4L event in South Africa mean we can expect many of you to come along? Next year we hosting a World Cup again in October - what a fantastic opportunity to have you come along ...

Osu! I hope to compete this year. I am IKO 1 in NYC and I would imagine that this might cause some problems with my shihan. I mean i'd still like to compete, but I wouldnt want to get sh** for it when I go back to training during the week. Any advice for talking him into giving me his blessing?

Osu,
It is a friendly training and competing day, open to all... Bring your Shihan and your dojo mates along for some great karate time...
I can hardly imaging that adding to your training and experience would make your Shihan frown...

It's in my agenda...
Hopefully, the boys won't have a football game that week end... Didn't get the 2012 schedule yet
I really would love to meet and train with you guys…

ashiharakaicho, I'd love to visit and train with you in S. Africa. However, due to financial difficulties. This would be quite difficult, as my other obligations take priority.

Hmmmmm...............
What FredInChina said. Get the Dojo to participate. It's not a top level tourney yet, so a good opportunity for those looking for experience. Not nice to be dropped into international level competition right off the bat......

I hear you, TMD. We'd love to be able to head over and support those in the UK and Europe too.
