As usual, something awesome comes up and I have my military obligations that weekend. Fortunately come August I'll be all said and done. I still should be at summer camp though hopefully.

Osu!

Thanks for the invite, Spirit!

I have already committed to Detroit though. Maybe next time?

I have "BIG" respect for Kancho J. Farrell. After referring one of my matches in Atlantic City he approached me and helped fine tune my Knockdown game. I was a 28yr old long hair with a basic gameplan and a strong desire to win and this real big man comes up to help me. I really appreciated him doing that for me. Besides his name I knew little else about him till I read this thread. Kool. Maybe post again when/where Kancho will be teaching.

Thank you for sharing StormingNorm
Very interesting story and also very nice to see that Kancho J. Farrell decided to help you even if he didn’t know you well. He saw potential and wanted to help. That is the real spirit of Karate.

OSU StorminNorm - if you can make it down from Canada in the summer, Kancho Farrell always holds a summer camp. The last one he taught basics and some knockdown tips, and had guest instructors in Aikido and Escrima as well.

Osu Spirit,

Knowing you a little bit, I'll input the info myself in the K4L Calendar...
Spirit, is there a special offer for K4L support members?

BigAl, Spirit, now would be a good time to announce the dates of the summer camp and have it all in a thread and in the K4L Calendar...

@Dent: Be VERY careful your knee in Detroit!

OSU Fred, they're still looking for a venue if I recall correctly. However, there is another seminar with Kancho Farrell coming up in April. Here is the flyer:

It will be held at Komplete Martial Arts: http://www.kompletemartialarts.com

Don't have any info on what will be covered yet though.

I input Spirit's seminar in the K4L Calendar...

Thank you for informing the community of this other seminar Big Al,

However,
and because there are no K4L secretarial pool populated by sexy secretaries with agile fingers,

Here is the link to the K4L Calendar so you can input your events BigAl
http://www.kyokushin4life.com/forums/calendar.php
You can also start a thread for this event.

Events that offer discounts for K4L support members should be indicated as such.

Since we don’t have any fighters at the Gold Cup this year
(they are fighting another competition on march 25th), I’ll might referee…
That being said, it’s my Bday that day and my wife and kids had something else in mind for me…
I will have to work hard…I would love to meet with you there StorminNorm I also have a very close friend of mine that will be there from Toronto that I want to meet. We’ll keep in touch on this regard. When are you flying in?

Likewise, StorminNorm, and it's a pity you wont get to meet Bobh yet either, but there's always the NorthEast Invitational!

I respect that you had made another commitment, and are fulfilling it.

For sure I will drop by to say hello, the rest is directly related with my negotiations with Mrs...
I have to say that the doghouse is a bit small to practice Karate(don't have a dog and it's cold outside )
Flying... Sorry, I was under the impression that you were from BC (British Columbia). Nothing wrong with driving...

Osu, KIHON FC has 8 schools in Ontario, Michigan and California. The Honbu is is in Windsor, Ont which is why we do so much training (and shopping) in the Metro-Detroit area. I am bringing a crew of 10 competitors to Montreal. We are sending a smaller group of 8 to the KUDO seminar in Detroit the same day. We are travelling up with Hanshi Mady in a Greyhound bus on Thurs pm, arriving Fri Am into Que. Just a FYI. Still hope your able to say Hello. Osu
