Running on a treadmill

For some reason running on a treadmill is more difficult than running outdoors for me. Its not that its boring, but I can't seem to hold pace even if its slower than what I do outside.

Does anybody else seem to have a problem of keeping a constant pace? Or with other problems (besides the monotony of running in place indoors) with treadmill running vs. outdoor running.

Osu!

I wasn't a fan of the treadmill when I had the chance to run with others, but now that I'm alone, I can use the machine to force the pace. And I don't cane my knees quite as badly.

Osu!Bloke, that's the best feature of a treadmill-being able to go faster than you would be able to run outdoors. One summer I had access to a treadmill. I ran 5k's on the machine at a pace only achievable by me outdoors with skates and a tailwind. It didn't improve my real-world running but it was great for conditioning. The tricky part was trying not to get launched off the belt and getting splatted on the opposite wall.

Wild find, Ksan!

I wonder how long it took them to come up with that?
