100 man kumite - availibility on film...

I have seen the 100 man kumite of Kazumi, Yamaki, Fihlo and Matsui. Are there any other succesful 100 man kumite available on film? I would love to see the fights of DaCosta
and Sanpei!

Dear alan,
The other two 100-man kumite known publicly available that you have not yet seen are those of Shihan Masuda Akira and Shihan Sanpei Kenji. All available from Media 8(though not shown in their official website, they are both listed in the catalogue printed in the official magazine of IKO-Matsui). As for Shihan Admeir da Costa, his 100-man kumite record, sadly was not officialy accepted by Honbu in Tokyo. If you really want to see it I think you have to contact Shihan himself or people who personally know him.

Osu kakatootoshi!

Thanks for your prompt reply

What was the reason for "honbu" not recognizing the 100 man kumite of Shihan DaCosta?

Dear alan,
I sincerely do not know. The 100-kumite was done in Brazil and there might not be enough approval and supervision from Honbu. But I guess the biggest reason could be that they did not have the Media 8 people to record the event for sale

I wonder if this is why Filho did his 100 man kumite months after doing the one in Brazil, because it wasn't officially recognized the first time?

Dear powerof0ne,
I think Shihan Filho had planned to do his 100-man kumite in Tokyo right at the beginning. The first one he did in Brazil was for practising purposes. And the two attempts were done in just two consecutive months!
