pressure points kyusho
are pressure point something i should learn with my karate training and do you think it helps ? and i looked for a style caled kyusho wich uses pressure points but it looks very odd and fake tell me wat u think (you can check it on youtube just type kyusho)

wel ofcourse if u train in shotokan or any other martial art for that you should know the pressure points for self defense but if and if you are a full contact karate ka like in kyokushin it helps in the tournaments osu!!!!!!!! train hard

There are some pressure points that you could find useful to know. Places like behind the ear, right underneath the nose, the space between your collarbones, the very top of your sternum near the throat, under the armpit, etc.
However, a lot of that is primarily for those that do a lot of grappling. I'd mostly concentrate on vital points of the area you can strike for now though (solar plexus, jaw, nose, floating ribs, groin, etc.). Pressure points are also kind of iffy as what may work really well on one may not work as well on another. Punches and kicks work well on everyone though ![]()

I read in a magazine something about Evan Pantazi, who should teach a system based on kyusho, but I don't know if it's effective or not.
In my opinion it's very difficult in a real fight to hit the pressure points of your opponent... |
