Now why would anyone want to go out of their way to cause a brother or sister harm? If I can't win a match without inflicting debilitating injury on my opponent, I don't deserve to win, IMHO. Tournament matches are not real fights.

Not a knockout technique, but a good one to set one up. My sempai Yuki showed me this last week. It's essentially a shotei straight to the bicep, hit it hard enough and it becomes much more difficult for your opponent to keep his hands up, leaving his head wide open for attack. A good countering move when combined with blocks.

Punching to the bicep is another good one - just like using the low kick to deaden the legs this deadens the arms and makes it difficult to hold them up thus making blocking difficult. If you can try and punch the insde of the bicep one or two inches up from the elbow - there is a nerve there that when caught correctly is realy quite debillitating.

Punches to the arms are good, but one of the most overlooked/underutilized techniques has to be chudan-mawashi geri to the arms...really only takes 3-4 to make the guard drop follow that up with some head hunting (mawashi geri, mae geri, whatever) and then drop an axe kick onto his lowered guard, step in with seiken chudan right down the pipe...

Jack Johnson, the old-time boxer, used to do a similar thing. He called it his "bicep punch." I'm not much of a kicker yet, so the shotei's easier for me
The only strong kicks I have really are gedan mawashi geris and hiza geris.

I sometimes use Hiza Geri to the outside of the arm if I am in close and have already been working the arm/shoulder joint.

I don't really think that you can hurt your opponent that hard if you use different handforms.
but you can of course strenghthen your punches with it. it is also not unfair because everyone is allowed to use it and it also needs a lot of time and practise to strenghthen your fingers to able to use it in the first place. |

In my experiences, if you can aim for the area between the pectoral(chest muscle) and rib cage(on the side next to the arm not the chest =p)there is a nerve there when struck correctly numbs the arm very painfully i might add(a shooting burning pain). I have had this happen to me before and i couldnt use the arm for the next 5-10 minutes. hope that is helpful
