Go Shin Jutsu/Ju Jutsu/self-defence techniques in Kyokushin
Osu.
i am wondering why no one has mentioned the self-defence techniques that we are taught in Kyokushin classes.. (i just noticed someone DID mention this.. no details tho..) well... the japanese names of the techniques escape me right now.. but i'll list them, and i hope to be able to find the japanese names again (searching jujutsu/aiki jujutsu books at the moment) wrist locks/breaks - with variants (same hand, reverse hand - with both right and left hands): defense against collar grab defense against wrist grab elbow locks/breaks - with variants defense against overhead attack thats about it.. i'm only a beginner! ![]() i did learn a ton more while i was taking Shotokan Go shin Jutsu classes, about 20 or so, but there's only one or two that are effective, and those i already had learned in Kyokushin. the rest were flashy, dangerous to apply, and ineffective. (at least to my eyes, and i am, as i said, a beginner. ) i ask, what are the techniques you learned? and can anyone please find/put a reference to them here, for everybody's benefit? thank you. Osu. |
