Strengthening Non-Dominant Side
Unless you are 100% ambidextrous, you probably favor one side (right vs. left) more so than the other. For me, being right handed, I am much more stronger and flexible when punching or kicking with my right. I also spin better clockwise in performing ushiro geri and ushiro mawashi geri. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I can better strengthen my left side attacks so that I can be a more complete and balanced fighter. Osu!

Dear smoothsake,
You may increase the intensity of training (more reps, heavier weights) for your left. And it is also important to improve your footwork because without it, you will lose balance while shifting between stances. And I think having someone hold the mitt for you while putting you into situations when you must hit with your left also helps. OSU!

If both side are not worked on then the opponent will have a big advantage, on the fighter who trains one side of his/her body. I remember there was a time in my training, I would work one side hard. It killed me, because when I competed in a tournement, my opponent exploited my weakness
. I Always work both sided with equal intensity. I see that there are benefits of having both side equally strong. Most champions favor their left side, because most of them are either left or right handed. Right handed fighters use the left side to parry, block and strike. Left handed fighters usually use the left side, for power mostly. It is hard to fight a left handed fighter, but if you train hard enough. Sooner or later it will pay off.
