knuckle push ups and situps
osu!

last week in training we have to do 200 situps, ones where you go all the way up not just touching your knees, anyway i found i was hitting my spine as i went down alot, i came to the conclusion that i dont know how to do situps properly. (btw my abs are still sore from it ) can anyone here tell me how i should be doing them so i dont hit my spine (i curl to go up but when i go down i dont really curl but more like hit the floor) ?

also we had to do 60 push ups on our knuckles, i like doing push ups on my knuckles but i was wondering if at home i could do them on a mat (something to cushen my knuckles instead of pressing down on the hard floor) ?

i was also wondering if people here to tell me how good doing push ups on your knuckles are? do they make your punches better? stronger?

thanks if anyone can answer these questions.

osu!

Your instructor should be telling you all this akd him/her!!!!!!!!!!

Sit ups... keep your chin tucked into your chest or extend the chin out ward but keep the back curved and focus on your abs...

Push ups.. No always do them on your knuckles on a hard survace. Doing them on your knuckles does help build up your knuckles, but not really why its done, the purpose is to build muscle and develop the wrist for punching. So you do push up like you punch PS remember that knuckle push up is only done on the first 2 knuckles not all 4

For situps, how are your legs? Can be done foot to the ground, but sometimes better to bend knees with feet in the air.

A good way to keep working your abs while saving your back is to slightly control the descent from the top position. This way, not only are you just plopping back down but you're also still working your muscles and even harder.

And do knuckle push-ups anywhere you need to, just do them

Do a quick search on google or on dragondoor.com or bodybuilding.com for a Janda Situp. I find they work wonders.
