Knuckle injury
OSU to everybody!
It's my first time here. I want to send my cumpliments to all Kyokushin Karateka's participating in this forum. I have my left hand injuried (a knuckle) since last month when I tried to make Tameshiwari. Some advice to overcome that situation fast as possible are welcome. Best regards and OSU!! |

I to injuried my knuckles on my right hand as a jukyu. It took about 8 years and stone crab claw to cure it ......... Very long story, I broke the 2 nuckles and pushed them back, as I keep traing they jsut never healed and got worse, after some time I had one big knuckle.
So it depends on what the Dr. say (who didn't help me much other than tell me what the Xray results was). I iced mine all the time and sprayed it with freeeze before fights, other than that it takes lots of time do to your always using and banging it. See what the Dr says and thyen go from their....... |

Osu Martelo,
Ice and going easy on it is what you can do in the short term...and NO tameshiwari obviously! Don't hit anything with it until its healed and you have been to the doctor like Japman advised. Hopefully it is just bruised and should right itself pretty quickly. ![]()

See your local pharmacie for Goulard's Extract (also known as subacetate of lead = a solution of lead acetate and lead oxide used as an astringent .)
use it on a coton and let it there for about 5 minutes, a few times a day and use this untill you feel better . Its an old boxers cure .

The best is to apply it as soon you got injured .
got to be carefull though it's a bit poisonous don't use it on an open wound and wash your hands before handeling food and stuff . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goulard's_Extract
