Staying The Same Weight Just Different Look ^^
Wazz Upppp and Osu,
I have just a few questions to ask and see if anyone can help me out. I am currently around 200pds I believe, I dont trust my scale at home because one day I am 180, the next 230 the next 200, then 190...etc. Random weights so I'm guessing I am around the 200pd area. My question is what are some exercises were I stay in the same weight class of 200+ and have a body type similar to Mirko CroCop's or Fedors. They both are like 200+ and 6' but im just 5-9-10" not sure. I just want to keep my weight but have a "big and built" look with it. I have about 95pds on weights( I know it bad but I can't find anymore in the alleys i searched everywhere). Should I just try my best and use what I have or move on to something new? I was guessing just doing alot of sit-ups, push ups and other normal exercises you can do without equipment. But I need more ideas and help on this. |

Osu!
I am not a nutrition expert here, but I think you just do your Karate training as usual, and eat normally. I am about 183 lb. I don't do any diet, but I train regularly. Compared to before, I look slimmer although I actually gained some weight. Depending on what kind of "look" you want to get, if you are looking for mass building (those large bulging muscles), weight training is the best. I don't do much weight training, so what I get is a bit different from bodybuilders. I still get large upper body and smaller tummy, but the muscles are not as pronounced as bodybuilders. However, in return, I get better speed, stamina, and punching/kicking power.

u got that right mike tyson was a beast back in day. I just want to be bulky with the same weight I have but I can't use weights since I don't have alot. Are there some normal exercises you can do without using equipment or just some random household items to get bulk.

Osu!
I recommend that you check for info on Dinosaur training, and the Spartan workouts. That's my POA starting June 1. ![]() Osu!

Osu! Weights really are the best way to bulk up, but you can also try using your own body weight as resistance, as in wall push ups, squats, etc - I'm sure there would be heaps if you did an internet search. Another thing you might want to try is a resistance band, I have a pilates one and find it useful, it doesn't build up bulk as much as it tones and firms and builds core strength.

i don't know if this is against the rules or not (if it is please excuse my ignorance):
steroidology.com -one of the premier bodybuilding sites on the web and has tons of info on nutrition and training. You should drop by there and ask some questions mma.tv -those of you who follow ufc, will know this site has been mentioned in post fight interviews, etc... its basically the pinnacle of mma forums - also has some good info for questions your asking.

BiiggDDD, whatever you do stay well away from steroids
.My advice will be to look power circuit training. See training methods like Matt Furey's "combat conditioning".If you are really a fitness nutter then Ross Enamait's warrior workout series is for you, or just be on first name bases with burpees, push ups and skipping .p.s lift light weights at slow reps and you should be fine.Ous

lol... steroidology being the premiere bodybuilding website has lots of information on steroid use, but a good chunk of members there are 'natural' bodybuilders and don't juice. Regardless of drug use, it is an invaluable source for information on weight training and more importantly nutrition (which is the most important aspect of any fitness regiment)... don't dismiss it simply because of the steroid aspect.

Thanks everyone, on the Ross Enamait's warrior workout series how do I find this? I found the burpess you are talking about. Those kind of exercises seem perfect really thats what I was looking for.
Are there anymore sites or exercises by Ross or other people that have this type of conditioning/workout to build bulk. Once again thanks everyone. |

a workout without a proper nutrition regiment is futile, especially with your goals of stayin the same weight. Make sure you have that in check as well.
To be frank, you will never achieve your goal of looking like mirko off that warrior workout series... you need to be doing some heavy lifting not just pylometircs and body weight exercises. Check out those sites I posted... mma.tv is 'the forum' for mixed martial arts which mirko does (pride/ufc).

If you want I can send you a video of mirko doing his workout. You will see what he does to maintain his build. It's a lot of weight lifting too.

FutureProdigy,
Can I suggest that if you think of something additional that you want to post, a minute after the first post---that you hit the "edit" button, and add it, instead of a second post? If someone else has posted under you, than no problems, but if not, the edit button is your friend! vapor

Oh ok thanks prodigy, and niceguy.
Just one question since i don't have really any weights to lift, I can't maintain the same weight with a bulk look like fedor or crocop? So that means I have to lift weights? |

Ross Enamait's hard-core training article and video, found on his web site, demonstrate that you can gain size and strength without resorting to typical bodybuilding routines. You can get big and strong and superbly conditioned with "only" 95 lbs of iron and a few makeshift exercise tools you can easily find in an alley, it just depends on how smart you go about it.
Try dumbbell snatches, turkish get-ups, bent press, oa bench press, weighted pull-ups/dips, overhead squats and lunges, thrusters, and swings with "just" 95 pounds. Master these exercises with that weight and you're half-way to owning Fedor and Crocop. The other half, I'm afraid, will be a lot tougher. |
