Wii Fit

Anybody else have a Wii Fit or are planning to get one? We got ours a few days ago and we LOVE it. I think if I keep at it I can definitely improve my balance, which needs serious work. It also motivates me to do all the strength training type exercises like lunges and pushups, stuff that I wouldn't do unless someone was forcing me to.

Sometimes it really doesn't surprise me Nintendo is a Japanese company. Such wacky ideas 0_o'
I think there's also boxing on the Wii.
Might be a good secret training method for all karateka

I think its a great idea. I have a Wii and love to play Wii Sports and Mario Kart.
I have heard complaints about Wii Fit though in the BMI area and the accusing people of being overweight that arent.

As a fan of the Anime series, I enjoy the Hajime no Ippo boxing disc, and this should be fun too.

Best BMI story I have is of a friend of mine who is very well built, but a little less tall than his muscles would suggest. As part of his studies, he has back to back physicals. The first determines that he has single digit body fat (Maybe 7%), so he's all smiles. The second is the BMI, where height to weight is the calculation, and the nurse tells him he's obese!

Some serious frowns on the day, and with him being the fittest guy we know, we've made fun of this for years.

Yeah, there's boxing games in both Wii Fit and Wii Sports, the game that comes packaged with the Wii. I stink at it but my black belt boyfriend is a killing machine in that game! So maybe you'll be good at it too.
