I once heard a quote from Mas Oyama. It said something like One should train longer then one sleeps.
Not sure if he really means it but I still find it interesting. ![]() |

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this.
But have you seen your doctor recently for a check up? If you are tired on a regular basis for no reason. Maybe you need to get some Iron tablets. See your doctor and get a blood test! |

Sleep and rest are definitely an important part of your training - your body will struggle to repair itself otherwise!
I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea within the last year and I'm in the process of treatment right now. If anyone feels more tired than usual even though they are getting sufficient sleep go get checked out!! It doesn't only happen if you're middle aged and overweight, I'm only 28... Even a short nap can have such restorative powers - at least for me.

power naps are amazing....15 minutes and you are good to go!
One of the people that I worked for a while ago was a master power napper. We were on a plane together, and he said the to flight attendant, "please bring me a coffee in 15 minutes". He then turned to me and said, I need to take a quick nap. In less than 30 seconds he was out cold...and as if an alarm clock went off, 15 minutes later, on the dot, he opened his eyes, the flight attendant brought him his coffee, and he was good to go! I was amazed!! vapor

Im not quite as good as that but I was on a short flight to Liverpool once (35 mins) and I took a nap just before take off and I only woke when it landed in Liverpool.
I have often had a nap on a saturday or sunday afternoon and been full of energy for the evening. Power naps rock!!!

I would say as is for everything else, what works great for one person does not necessarily work for another? I'm sure diet is a big factor for energy levels too.
